Let me hit you up with some Science F.A.C.T; Young Fathers are

the single coolest thing to ever come out of Scotland.

Ever.

Hailing from Edinburgh, yes EDINBURGH!, YFs are a burst of

uncharacteristic cool from the home of pink Ralph Lauren polo shirts

with the collars up, Jamie Theakston fringes and more Woolen shops

than Subways, Maccy Ds and Burger Kings combined.

Check out the video for their single "Straight Back On It", which sounds

like what might happen if Spank Rock played more computer games

and Kanye West had a slightly Scottish accent, and just wait for those

horns to kick in! Tuuuuuune.

Young Fathers play T in The Park on 11/07/09 and support Simian Mobile Disco on their UK Tour in September.

Without trying to sound too much like the NME,

 Flashguns will very soon, in all  probability, be

 your new favourite band. However you can take it

 from us, that would be no bad thing.

Hailing from "mostly London and some Brighton"

and all still under 20, the band's mature sound

belies their tender age, with a breezy, laid back 

charm a perfect side dish to some tasty post-joy 

division jagged indie-pop. Like mustard and 

chocolate.

but nice.

Supporting Jamie T on his upcoming UK tour,

with a host of summer festival dates (including 

the Underage Festival in London) and support 

from Radio 1's introducing lot, it seems the band 

are destined for big things.Check out the video for
